Workshop- Building Confidence through Public Speaking Skills

ATS Valley School organized a workshop for Grade VIII students on “Building Confidence through Public Speaking Skills” on 19th December 2025.

The session was conducted by Mr. Sumer Khullar and Ms. Sharda Pullabhatla from Lovely Professional University.

Through interactive activities and practical tips, students learned to overcome stage fear, improve communication skills, and speak with confidence.

Overall, the workshop was informative and inspiring, leaving students better equipped to face public speaking situations with greater confidence and enthusiasm.

Stress Management Workshop at ATS Valley School

A stress management workshop was conducted on 12th August’25 for the students of Grades IX and X at ATS Valley School. The session aimed at helping students understand the causes of stress and learn practical strategies to cope with it effectively.
Through engaging activities and useful tips, the resource person guided students on maintaining a healthy mind and balanced lifestyle.

Our Principal Mrs Nina Pandey also addressed the gathering , encouraging students to apply these techniques in their daily lives and to approach challenges with a positive mindset.

The workshop concluded with all the students taking a pledge to manage stress in healthy ways, support each other, and maintain their overall well-being.

Workshop- Future Technology

ATS Valley School, Derabassi recently hosted an engaging and insightful workshop on Future Technology and the World of Artificial Intelligence for the students of Grades IX and X. The session was designed to spark curiosity about the rapidly evolving field of AI and to guide students in making informed career choices.

Principal Mrs Nina Pandey too encouraged the students to dream big and stay motivated in this ever-changing technological landscape.

Students were introduced to the foundations of Artificial Intelligence, its real-world applications, and the impact it is likely to have on various industries in the future.

A highlight of the workshop was the demonstration of working robot models, which captivated the audience.

In addition to technology, the session also included career counselling where students were guided on how to align their interests and strengths with future-ready careers. and about the skill sets essential for success in the 21st century.

The workshop was not only educational but also highly motivating, leaving students inspired to explore, innovate, and prepare for a future shaped by intelligence—both human and artificial.

Empowering Futures: Career Guidance Workshop by Mr. Arun Bhatia at ATS Valley School

ATS Valley School had the privilege of hosting Mr. Arun Bhatia, an International Certified Career Coach, for an inspiring and insightful Career Guidance Workshop conducted for students and parents.

The session focused on helping students explore career paths aligned with their strengths, interests, and aspirations. Mr. Bhatia's holistic approach to career mentoring and his deep understanding of the evolving professional landscape made the workshop both enlightening and impactful.

‘Profile Building’

ATS Valley School organized an insightful workshop on ‘Profile Building’ for the students of Grade IX, conducted by Mr. Arun Bhatia, an internationally certified career coach.

Mr. Bhatia engaged the students in an interactive discussion about identifying their strengths, exploring extracurricular interests, and understanding how to build a profile that reflects both their passions and potential.

The workshop helped students gain clarity on how profile building plays a vital role in choosing the right career path and preparing for future college applications.
Students left the session motivated and better informed about the steps they can take now to shape their futures.

Importance of hand washing in maintaing hand hygiene

Keeping our hands clean is one of the most crucial steps in order to avoid spreading of germs and keeping healthy because hands are the most exposed part of one's body. A workshop was conducted on 9 July, 2024 at ATS Valley School, Dera Bassi by Mr. B. P. Singh of WELM Foundation on the importance of hand washing in maintaing hand hygiene.The children were also explained how bacteria spreads through our different sense organs. The workshop aimed at making children aware about different ways of washing hands and the importance of using soap or hand wash. A practical demo was also given for a better understanding of washing hands properly, to the children. The children enjoyed the session and learnt a valuable lesson through the workshop.

Importance of early exposure to the Arts

ATS Valley School continues its commitment to the all-round development of its students by hosting a special workshop conducted by the renowned actor, Mr. Sohrab Khandelwal. Known for his roles in various web series and movies, Mr. Khandelwal brought his extensive experience and passion for performance to inspire and educate the students.

Mr. Khandelwal, who began his journey in the performing arts at a young age, shared his insights and experiences with the students, emphasizing the importance of early exposure to the arts and the impact it has on personal growth. His workshop focused on the skills and disciplines required in acting, the value of perseverance, and the significance of creativity in everyday life.

The interactive session included practical exercises, personal anecdotes, and a Q&A segment, allowing students to gain a deeper understanding of the performing arts and its relevance beyond the stage.

Ms. Sharma holds postgraduate qualifications in clinical psychology, social work, and disaster management. Her impressive background includes significant contributions to educational pathways, particularly for students with special needs. Throughout the workshop, she shared her wealth of knowledge and expertise, providing students with valuable insights and guidance.
The workshop covered a range of important topics, including effective study habits, career planning, and emotional well-being. Ms. Sharma's interactive and engaging approach resonated deeply with the students, leaving a lasting impact.
