ATS VALLEY SCHOOL BIDS ADIEU TO GRADE 10 STUDENTS IN SPECTACULAR FAREWELL EVENT

On 10th February 2024, ATS Valley School resonated with joy and nostalgia as it bid farewell to the outgoing 2023-24 batch of Grade 10 students in a spectacular event.

The day was a vibrant celebration, dedicated to the cherished years spent together by students and teachers, reminiscing about the joyous moments that defined their academic journey. Organized by the enthusiastic Grade IX students, the farewell party aimed to create lasting memories, leaving behind a trail of nostalgia.
Dressed in their finest attire, the young ladies adorned colorful saris, while the gentlemen showcased their smart and elegant suits, adding a touch of grace to the event.
The farewell unfolded as a roller-coaster ride of emotions, commencing with energetic dance performances, a harmonious group song, and a captivating skit. The highlight of the evening was the dazzling ramp walk, where Grade X students showcased their charisma and enthusiasm, competing for the prestigious titles of Mr. & Ms. ATS.
Siddhi Khurana was announced as Ms. ATS, and Aditya of grade 10 claimed the title of Mr. ATS.
Principal Nina Pandey extended heartfelt wishes to thedeparting students, encouraging them for their upcoming Board Examinations and future endeavors. Her words resonated with inspiration, setting a positive tone for the graduates.
The event culminated with a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony by Chairperson Nita Jauhar, who conveyed her best wishes for the students' future endeavors. Last but not least, a delicious lunch added the perfect finishing touch to this unforgettable farewell.

75th Republic Day

ATS Valley School joyously marked the 75th Republic Day, radiating unity and patriotism. The celebration featured impactful Hindi and English speeches, emphasizing the essence of Republic Day and democratic values.

The school choir stirred hearts with a Patriotic Group Song, paying homage to the nation. Rishika's captivating solo dance mesmerized everyone, adding grace to the festivities. Group Dances followed, showcasing India's cultural diversity through energetic and synchronized moves, epitomizing unity in diversity.

Christmas Celebration at ATS Valley School: A Spectacle of Joy and Talent*

ATS Valley School was transformed into a winter wonderland as students embraced the spirit of Christmas with a vibrant celebration, showcasing their talent and enthusiasm.

The festivities, including dance performances, soulful carol and speeches renditions, and more, filling the air with joy and cheer.

Chairperson Nita Jauhar, in her heartfelt Christmas message, emphasized the importance of discipline, highlighting its integral role in shaping young minds.
She also extended warm wishes to all students, encouraging them to embrace the upcoming new year with positivity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence.

MERAKI- THE FUN FETE

ATS Valley School, Derabassi,one of the leading educational institutions in the city, celebrated a day of joy and success during its highly anticipated Annual School Fete-MERAKI held on Friday, October 27, 2023.
The school fete, a much-anticipated event on the academic calendar, brought students, parents, and staff together for a day of jubilation and festivity. The fete showcased a diverse array of mouthwatering food stalls and exciting games that left everyone enthralled.
Additionally, this year's fete introduced an exciting range of bumper raffle prizes that had attendees buzzing with excitement. Lucky winners had the chance to take home amazing prizes. There was also a bouncy trampoline and opportunities for tattoo making and face painting, making the event even more thrilling for everyone, especially the kids.
Students were at the heart of the event, with their enthusiasm and energy lighting up the atmosphere. They actively participated in various games and competitions, displaying their talents and teamwork.
Notably, parents were not far behind in the fun, as they took a keen interest in the games and food stalls, adding to the vibrant and community-oriented spirit of the day.
ATS Valley is proud to have hosted such a successful event, strengthening the bond between the school and the community it serves. The annual school fete remains a cherished tradition, and this year's edition undoubtedly left an incredible mark. Teacher's Day Celebration

Teacher's Day at ATS Valley School was a vibrant affair. Grade 10 students led a special assembly, featuring heartfelt expressions of gratitude and admiration, including a self-composed poem by Lovepreet.

Highlighting the day were Guru Vandana and an inspiring speech, emphasizing the importance of educators. Grade 10 students had the opportunity to teach their juniors, promoting leadership.

The management treated teachers and staff to a lavish lunch, concluding the day on a high note.

Independence Day Celebration

The celebration of Independence Day is of immense significance, marking India's freedom from British rule in 1947. ATS Valley School recently observed the 76th anniversary of this historic event on August 15, 2023, with great enthusiasm. The school's Chairperson, directors, and Principal raised the national flag and led the National Anthem.

Students from different grades were actively involved in various events. A stirring speech by students from Grades 9 and 10 invoked patriotism and dedication. Mesmerizing dance performances by Grades 4 and 5 students showcased their grace and rhythm on the patriotic song "Ai vatan, Ai vatan, humko teri kasam." Students from Grades 6 and 7 delivered a patriotic song conveying a message of harmony. An impressive cultural dance representing India's diversity was presented by Grades 6 to 10 students.
The tiny tots from junior classes dressed as patriotic leaders and showcased their talents, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Chairperson Ms. Nita Jauhar also encouraged unity and dedication in her words. The celebration paid tribute to the sacrifices of leaders and fighters who secured India's freedom, highlighting how their ideals continue to inspire the nation.

"Kite flying activity"

On 14th January, 2023 ,Our  school organized a kite flying activity for Grade 8 - 10 on the occasion of Makar Sankranti . The students had an exciting time by participating in the kite flying along with their teachers . The bright blue sky was beautifully adorned by vibrant coloured kites. The significance of Pongal, Makar Sankranti, Lohri and Maghi was explained by teachers. Students enjoyed a lot while flying kites.

"Grandparents day celebration"

Grade 1 and 2 celebrated Grandparents day on Saturday with great zeal and fervor. The theme of the day was ‘Gratitude towards our Grandparents’. This theme sought its beautiful expression through the theatre presentation. The students depicted the scenes of their lives which showcases their love and concern for their grandparents and also, the indispensable role of grandparents in the upbringing of today’s generation. The musical and theatrical performances were hugely applauded by the audience, but the star of the show was the dance on the classic melodies. Every one enjoyed the performances and funny games, tongue twisters and riddles. Finally, the program came to an end with the distribution of planters by Vice Principals of the school to the winners of the games.

Grade 3 celebrated Grandparents day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The theme of the day was ‘Gratitude towards our Grandparents’. This theme sought its beautiful expression through the theatre presentation. The students depicted the scenes of their lives which showcased their love and concern for their grandparents. The musical and theatrical performances were hugely applauded by the audience, but the highlight of the show was the dance on hai Junoon. Everyone enjoyed the performances. There were funny games, tongue twisters, riddles and identification of the old melodies for grandparents. Saplings of plants were given to the winners of the games by Vice Principals of the school. Finally, the program came to the end with refreshment.

"Diwali celebration"

1. Diya Decoration Activity was held on 21st of October for Grade 1 & 2. The main purpose of this activity was to explore the students imagination ,creativity and celebrate the festival of Lights in its true spirit. All students participated enthusiastically in the activity. They decorated the earthen diyas with beautiful beads and sparkle. It was a great experience for all students.

2. Art allows kids to develop their creativity which is important throughout their lives. While doing something creative, you allow for self-expression and this let students to express their feelings. It also fosters mental growth in students by providing opportunities for trying out new ideas, new ways of thinking and problem-solving. A “Card Making Activity” on the occasion of Diwali was conducted on 21 October, 2022 for Grades 3 and 4 to enhance their creative skills. It was an individual activity.

3. The school conducted an Inter house Toran making Competition for the students of Grade 5  to 7. The students made beautiful Torans with colourful beads, attractive handmade papers, flowers, wool etc. It encouraged and emphasized Art and Craft and boosted the enthusiasm of the students.

4. Rangoli is a traditional form that brightens up an occasion and is believed to be harbinger of good luck. Beautiful patterns are created on the floor using colours, rice and  paints. Keeping up with this thought, the talent and creativity of the students was well brought out in an Inter-House Competition organized on 21st October, 2022  for the students of Grade 8 to 10 on the occasion of Diwali . The students put their best footforward and took part in the competition with zest. Innovation and creation are the words that best describes their efforts.

 

Sports Day 2023

ATS Valley School proudly hosted its much-anticipated 'Sustainovate 23,' the senior level Annual Sports Day on November 24, 2023, setting the stage for a day filled with enthusiasm, fervor, and remarkable sportsmanship. The event, graced by esteemed guests, witnessed an array of vibrant activities that showcased the spirit of athleticism among the students.
The occasion began with Chief Guests Mr. Charanjeet Singh Maan and Mrs.Simrita Maan  releasing a flurry of balloons, setting the tone for the day's celebrations, followed by the soulful Ganesh Vandana, which marked the auspicious beginning of the event.
Distinguished guests, including Mr. Gurmeet Singh Jauhar, Chairperson Mrs. Nita Jauhar, Directors Mr. Amardeep Singh Jauhar, Mrs. Avneet Jauhar, and Principal Ms. Nina Pandey, graced the occasion with their presence, joining an exuberant gathering of parents in cheering on the young athletes.
Inspirational words from the Chief Guest further motivated the young participants, setting the stage for an event that celebrated not only athletic prowess but also spirit and resilience.
The day was brimming with a delightful plethora of activities, including Aerobics, Dumble Drill, Hoolla Hoops, Yoga, Dandiya, and a number of races including 100 meters and 200 meters for both boys and girls. The House - wise relay races for both boys and girls encouraged the team spirit among the students.
The vibrant beats of Gidda and Bhangra and the harmonious melodies of the Choir singing 'Hum Hongey Kamyaab' added a cultural flair to the sporting extravaganza.
Chairperson Mrs. Nita Jauhar expressed heartfelt gratitude, extending thanks to the dedicated staff and supportive parents whose commitment contributed to the success of the event.
Furthermore, the live telecast of the event for the first time allowed grandparents and siblings of the students who couldn't attend personally to witness and share the joy of this remarkable celebration.

Students' Council Election

Dated: 05th May, 2023

The election for the Students’ Council was held at ATS Valley School on 5th of May 2023.

The objectives of appointing the Student’ Council is to provide a platform to the students to develop leadership qualities by organizing and carrying out school activities and service smoothly.

Keeping the above points in mind there was an election held in the school premises on 5 th of May 2023.

1.The election procedure had already started a week before. In the preliminary round, candidates who had filed nominations were short listed on the basis of their interviews.

2.Then the selected students were asked to give a short introduction to present their candidature on why they should be elected for the posts they had stood for.

3. This was followed by the students voting ( from classes 3 to 10) for the posts of Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice Head Boy , Vice Head Girl, Cultural In-charge and Sports Incharge.

4. The election procedure was interesting and smooth.

5. On the day of election students were already guided how they have to cast vote.

6. The whole event took place in the school premises under supervision of teachers.

7. The students were given the ballot papers on which they put their stamps for their favourite nominees and then put the paper in the ballot box.

8.This way they could understand the voting procedure and its importance.

9.The whole event went peacefully and effectively.

The National Sports Day

Dated: 29th August, 2020

The National Sports Day is celebrated every year on 29th August. Two days before on 27th August it was celebrated at the school premises, in which most of the students participated and showcased their talent by participating in inter-class and inter-house sports competitions.

Children enthusiastically participated in 100 meter race, kho-kho, shuttle run and dodge  ball competitions.
The school vice principal sir and ma'am congratulated the winners and  encouraged all the students to keep participating in forthcoming competitions.

Sports day

Dated: 29th February, 2020

The Annual Sports Day is one of the most awaited events of a school year. The spirit of friendly competition comes alive on this day.  The children participate in a wide range of sports events, cheer on their teammates and learn valuable lessons in sportsmanship.

This year, it was held for grades Foundation to 3 on 29th February’20. The event began with an exercise drill followed by a peppy dance drill by all the classes. Then there was a demo on self-defense by the martial arts team and skating team under the guidance of their respective coaches. The highlight of the day was the ‘Races’ which were different for all the classes. The races were unique and very innovative. There was penguin race, balance race, bankers’ race, cone jump race, hula jump race, football kick race, hurdle race, weightlifting race and many more. Children participated with full zest and enthusiasm. Their parents were also energetically involved to hoot for them.

To add to their entertainment, school’s junior and senior bands gave melodious performances. The audiences were enthralled by the power packed performances of the children. At the end, the winners proudly stood on the victory stand to receive their medals and their friends were seen applauding for them- that’s the positive spirit of this day!  The day was a fun filled fest of laughter, energy and delight.

Community lunch on Basant Panchami

On the occasion of Basant Panchami , students of grade 1 to 3 enjoyed having their lunch together in the school ground.They brought food representing the colour of Basant, i.e yellow. They were given information about the importance of this festival.
